Our Antique collection
This Malayer old is over 80 years old and is therefore a wonderful addition to our antique collection.

Malayer is located in western Iran, about 80 km south of Hamadan. Although close to Hamadan, the oriental carpets knotted in Malayer are more oriented in quality and pattern towards the Farahan region 100 km southwest (also called Feraghan), although they are usually fuller and have a higher pile than the Farahan carpets. In the 19th century, the Farahan was very popular in England and was called a gentleman's carpet there. Antique Farahan carpets are among the carpets with the highest increase in value and are therefore among the most expensive carpets traded today.
