Moud (also: Mud) is located in eastern Iran and belongs to the knotting area of Birdjand. These are the highest quality works from this important knotting area. Moud carpets are usually made of finer, slightly softer wool and have tight, subtle and delicate designs. Moud carpets are knotted with the Persian knot (and not with the Turkish knot like most provenances)
